In Loving Memory

I am absolutely devastated to hear that my longtime friend has passed.
Me and Matt were the only kids who went from Clayton jr high to West high school together. We had the same classes. The same circle of friends. Listened to the same music. Played the same music with our guitars. At one point we were attached at the hip.

Matt was there for me in a dark time in my life when I had no where to go. His family took me in and has shaped my life.

He was always excited about life and a real positive figure to look up too. Always exhibited a good attitude. Fun loving, happy go lucky... laughing all the time.

i am so grateful to him and his family who treated me as their own. My heart is broken.
I love you Seare family.....

I'm grateful to have spent so many of my favorite childhood days with Matt and the Seare family. Matt was so full of adventurous spirit and silliness.  I fondly remember many years boating and sharing wonderful adventures with this lovely family. I'm forever grateful for our shared slip at Flaming Gorge and Lake Powell antics as well as our nights dancing to Tom and Jerry.  We were an unbeatable team!  My heart is with Susan, Jerry, Chelsea, Jen and everyone who has lost this good man. Thanks for the beautiful video.  It was a gift to see him so happy in love.  There is a solace knowing that they are together again and his light lives on.

Matt was always like a brother to me. If I didn't see him for years, his kind heart always greeted me the same, with warmth and a tenderness unreplicable. Grateful for all the memories in my youth practically living with Jen at the Seare's home along side Matt playing Nintendo, playing games for hours on trips in the red van to Flaming Gorge, or just plain old shenanigans at the house near Sunnyside. Matt patiently taught me my first guitar riff, suitingly "Come as you are" by Nirvana. Thanks for the good times Matt and your lion heart and always your kindness you shared with me when I needed it most.
