"Bill"

Bill passed away on June 15th in Salt Lake City, Utah. Born June 9th, 1956 to Joan Harrison and David Barrett in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was later adopted by George E. Kersey. He spent his youth in Washington, New York, Massachusetts, Vermont and New Jersey. Bill graduated from the Lawrenceville School, Lawrenceville New Jersey. He attended the University of Utah. Bill married Fonda Anderson July 20, 1985 at La Caille in Sandy, Utah.

In his early career he worked construction and built beautiful homes. To fulfill a lifelong interest in criminal justice, Bill began his career with the State of Utah's Department of Corrections. He was a Deputy Warden with over 21 years of service. He was a master woodworker and created many treasured items for family members. Bill was an avid University of Utah Football fan. He was the biggest political junkie you'd ever meet. He loved music and had an extensive rock and roll collection. He took special interest in the sports and academic achievements, and musical and dance talents of his nieces and nephews. Bill had many cats and dogs throughout his life and loved them all.

He is survived by his wife of thirty years, Fonda; his mother Joan H. Kersey; father George Kersey; brother James Kersey; and other extended family members. He was preceded in death by his sisters Cathy, Wendy and Diana.

Bill's wish was to be cremated. A memorial service to celebrate Bill's life will be held on Friday, July 1st, 12:00 PM at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 S. 900 East, Salt Lake City, Utah.

His family would like to thank the staff at IMC for their expert and compassionate care.
