Black balloons carried you away to a place that I can not go, can not see, can not touch, can not hold.
Now you are gone. I watched you fade; distant, drifting, out of sight.
What I would give to bring you back, to hold you, to feel your strong arms and hands wrapped around my back.
But black balloons carried you away, drifting, dark and distant and now you are gone.
My heart feels your ever present absence.

I met Bill when he hired on at the prison. Easy going, calm, & fair minded. Cautious & determined. He was many things, but most importantly...He was someone you knew would walk through the fires of hell, if you needed help.
God, keep Bill in your graces, comfort him & his family, & thank you for allowing me the honor to have met & worked with him. Amen
