Frederick William Pink, (81) of Salt Lake City, Utah, passed away after a long and loving life on May 3rd, 2024. He fought to stay with us, but in the end, it was his time and his brave heart stopped beating.

Fred was born in Wick, Scotland on March 27th, 1943. He traveled around the globe as a young boy and man, and it was during these travels he acquired his worldly knowledge, creativity and passion for his interests. Throughout his life, he always conquered what he set out to do. He was an engineer, a business owner, a general manager at a Lamborghini dealership, and an accomplished realtor/lease negotiator for many years. He always said “if a job’s worth doing, it’s worth doing well” and stubbornly lived up to that mantra.

Fred will forever be remembered as an incredibly loyal husband, dad, grandad and great-grandad. He always had a mischievous twinkle in his eye and a terrible dad joke he wanted to share. He loved taking pictures, especially of his family and the birds that lived and visited the pond behind his home. He was able to capture many incredible shots of his feathered friends, but he was especially keen on the pelicans and lone bald eagle that visited over the years.

He is survived by the love of his life, Jenny, who he was completely smitten with for over 52 years. Also survived by his two sons, Simon (Nicki) and Chris (Jen), and his daughter Kelly (Steve). His grandchildren, Allen (Haley), Gemma, Sophie, Eva, Clara, Noah, Macey, Alice and great-grandson Huxley always benefited from his love and humor, and will miss him terribly. He is also survived by his sister, Carolyn (Roy) and brother Adrian (Alyson).

A private service will be held Thursday, May 16th, and a Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, June 27th at St. Vincent’s.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to a charity that makes you smile, just like our loving husband, brother, dad and grandad always did.
