Robert Aloysius Cullen

Robert Aloysius Cullen was born to Caleb J. and Susie C. Cullen on June 8, 1935, at the Miners’ Hospital in Park City, Utah. Bob cherished being a “Rogue Irish Catholic boy,” from the Tramway in Park City. He attended Marsac Elementary and graduted from Park City High, class of 1953. He served in the US Army 1954-1956 stationed in Augsburg, Germany.

 

Bob and his wife of 64 years, Doris Durrant were married on June 23rd 1958 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Bob and Doris were blessed with three children, J. Michael, Terry and Jeanne, and two granddaughters, Nicole May and Alyssa Cullen.

 

Bob graduated from the University of Utah, BS Accounting 1962. He was an executive with several companies, primarily in the mining industry in the United States and Peru. He was extremely proud of the 13 years served as Vice President and Controller of Montana Resources in Butte, MT. and his contribution to the start-up and successful operation of the Butte Mine.

 

Bob is survived by his wife Doris, son, John Michael  (Marilyn) Cullen, daughter Jeanne Stedman, granddaughters Nicole May and Alyssa Cullen, sister Jane Roach, sister-in-law Marilyn Lefor Cullen. Preceded in death by parents, brother Francis G. Cullen and son Terry Robert Cullen.

 

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, Decemeber 17, 2022 at 11:00 am at Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 1375 East Spring Lane, Salt Lake City, where friends may call one hour prior to Mass.
