Helen Judy Draper

Judy’s battle with cancer ended with strength and honor on June 17, 2022. Loved by all who knew her, she also loved and took every opportunity to make you smile and laugh and she would go out of her way to make sure everything was perfect for everyone. Judy was a servant and the greatest basket maker and gift giver of all time. She and her husband of 40 years, Mike Draper, gave hundreds of beautiful baskets to charity and friends. Judy’s presents were wrapped so pretty that you didn’t even want to open them.

Judy loved Mickey Mouse, shoes, salt and pepper shakers and Mr. & Mrs. Santa Clause. She collected them all. She even dressed as Mrs. Santa Clause for many years at the Murray FOE 1760.

Judy was super organized, driven and a natural leader. As a 22 year member of the Murray Fraternal Order of the Eagles, she served as the Secretary of the Ambassador Club Christmas Angels and the Treasurer of Harvest Lane Condominiums.

Born on May 30, 1950 to Melvin and Bev Thrall, Judy is survived by her husband Mike Draper, their puppy Snickers, her sisters Terri Fontaine, Susey Larsen and her nephew Dillon Fontaine. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Denise Cordova and her brother Mickey Thrall. Judy also had many friends in every state and neighbors she adored.

A celebration of life for Judy will be on July 8, 2022 at Starks Funeral Parlor from 6:00 to 8:00pm. Guests are encouraged to park on the northside of the building. 

Judy was love, kindness, joy, and laughter. She was hopeful, and always smiling.
