Reverend Lourduraj Gally Gregory
In Loving Memory
What a kind and peaceful man. I had the opportunity of associating with Father Gally as a fellow chaplain with the World Spiritual Health Organization (WSHO). I will forever remember the Washing of the Hands Ceremony that he did each year at the annual Chaplain Graduation, and I'm honored I was able to participate in that ceremony with him on multiple occasions. He will be missed.
What a great loss to our diocese. Father Gally was always so kind, humble, and devoted to our faith. He gets all the credit for getting me to recite the rosary regularly on Sundays before mass. We did not have Father Gally very long at Immaculate Conception before he passed away. I have never lost a parish priest before. It's been really hard. A cute story . . . Father always had trouble remembering my name. When he forgot my husband's name, I teased him that he shouldn't forget it because it was one of the 4 Gospels, Luke. One day when I was at mass without my husband, he asked, "Where's St. Luke?" Oh boy did my husband love hearing about that!
I am so sorry to hear of his passing. He was a kind and gentle man. Peace to you Father.
When Father Gally was new to St Ambrose Parish, he joined our family at home in Deer Valley to offer Mass for our 35th Wedding Anniversary. He was responsible for my becoming a chaplain after retirement from education. I attended his graduation from Clinical Pastoral Education and chaplain training and that spurred me to take the same journey. He has joined us many times in our home and we loved having him with us. We often shared dinner with Father Gally at local Indian restauarants where he always took photos of us together to share with his family. One point of great pride was witnessing him becoming a US citizen. Father Gally was holy and entirely devoted to his calling to the priesthood. We will truly miss him. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord.
I met Father Gally when he was at St. Ambrose. He loved going to Wendover with us. When he was becoming a citizen of the United States he went over all the questions on the test with us. He knew more about the United States than most of us did. When he was at St. Patrick's he blessed my cat. When they had their carnival he was in the dunking both. The kids had so much fun trying to dunk him. I will miss you. Terri
May the love of God bring peace to your hearts and give you strength during this time of sorrow.
A very wonderful friend has left us...A very precious person now is not with us... May he rest in The loving hands of Jesus...
We were blessed to have Father Gally with us at St. Ambrose.
I am grateful for having him in our lives.
May you rest in peace Father.
I so enjoyed Father in his tenure at Our Lady of Lourdes in Magna. He was always so kind to me on my day to count the collection. He always appreciated the treats I brought him and he brought me a beautiful gift from India when he came home from vacation. He was so loving and dedicated. I have missed him. Sincere sympathy to his family. May they find peace in knowing he has earned his heavenly reward over and over again and is sitting at God's table. Rest in peace my friend.
Father Gally was our priest at Our Lady of Lourdes Magna. He was wonderful. He'll be greatly missed. Rest in peace Fr. Thank you for everything. My God rest his soul in peace.
