In Loving Memory

I met Dave many years ago when he was teaching guitar lessons. My son, Tom, wanted to take lessons and we were fortunate enough to have found such a wonderful musician and teacher like Dave. The world has lost a good man but heaven has gained a soul who can strum that guitar while all the angels and saints sing along. We will miss you, Dave and thank you for sharing your beautiful music with us. I will pray for your wife, daughter and the rest of your family during this time of sorrow.

What a beautiful obituary, written by a truly beautiful person/persons. David was all the things mentioned, but was also so very humble. During our time together, with Carol at the "rodeo's that he didn't sign up for" he was so patient and willing to help, being a great support for Carol. I never ever had the feeling that David was anything other than just a regular guy. He was so kind to me and my boys, daughters, grandson, etc. I knew he played in Beetles tribute bands, but after reading all he did, I had no idea how really important he was in the music industry. I wish I could have been there to hear him fill in at the Led Z concert. I bet it was fantastic! I like remembering seeing David that last time, walking Squirt on the trail, thinking he's walking somewhere else right now (probably a lot more beautiful place, but just as peaceful). Rest in Peace-Till we meet again on some Heavenly Trail (where I'll probably be riding a horse and you'll no doubt be walking a dog!)

Sending my love, prayers, and big hugs. It only seems like yesterday Destini and I were youngsters always there for your shows at Lagoon and fairs etc. Dave was always so sweet to us from day one. It was such a shock to me to see his passing in the paper. RIP Dave til we all meet again.<3

David was my best teacher. Way back in the 70"s he would come to my house to teach me. I roadied for Isaiah and watched all the time picking up what I could. One of his bands opened for mine years ago, and I thought I had made it! I couldn't have been more wrong! David is the one who made it! I'm sure he's paaing along tips in heaven right now. And jammin with George!!
