I was a student body officer with Barbara at USU. I just saw her name in the Memorium section of the school magazine. The executive council was a good, collegial group that I remember fondly. We didn't stay in touch after that, but it appears that Barbara remained the friendly, committed person that she was then. My best wishes and thoughts to Barbara's family and friends.

I was a student of Mrs. Carlton's at Alta High School for English and The Price of Prejudice. I still consider her one of the best teachers I ever had even after graduating from college. I owe so much to her teaching and her caring personality. She inspired me, challenged me, taught me countless valuable lessons, and introduced me to many things. I truly owe a lot to her, and I am very lucky to have been one of her students.

I worked with Barbara for many years at Alta High School. She was a great friend and teacher, and put in countless hours as advisor for the Sterling Scholar committee. The last time I saw her was at her retirement reception. We had many good conversations and her sense of humor often had me in stitches.
