I'm so sorry to hear of Mandy's tragic death. A couple of days ago Chuck Norlin told me what happened. Since I haven't seen her for many years, my memories just reflect back to the smiling teen I knew. Thank you for sharing the beautiful video of her. I send my condolences and hopes that your fond memories will sustain you at this time of loss.

There are absolutely no words that can express the heartbreak that we feel for your family. And the word "sympathy"falls unbelievably short in light of your tragic loss. We hope that you will find comport in knowing that so many are holding you in their thoughts and prayers. Though we did't know Amanda well we could see from the video what an adventurous, fun-loving, talented person she was. Our heartfelt condolences are with you all.

We are so sorry to have Mandy taken from you. Such a needless tragedy. We so enjoyed her fun nature and pretty smile. We got together with her for Halloween and Santa Pub crawls. Always will think of her with a smile. My niece is also hearing impaired, losing her hearing when she was around three years old. Like Mandy, our Madeline never complains about her challenges. She plans to be a pediatric doctor, specializing in children with hearing loss. I am so glad Mandy helped so many lives; she is an inspiration! Eileen and Pete Kintner

Mandy was such a beautiful young woman, and I'll always remember her sweet smile and amazing determination in my English classes. She always went above and beyond to do her best and serves as a great example to all of us of courage and beauty, inside and out. My deepest sympathy goes out to all of you who loved her so very much. Pam Carlquist

Growing up Mandy was always one of those beautiful people who was a friend to everyone. Even as we all grew into adulthood and moved away we always seemed to run into her whenever we were visiting home. She was one of the most incredible and amazing people I have ever had the privilege of knowing. Our thoughts and prayers go out to her family and all who loved her. With Love, Melissa, Marc & Emmeline

My thoughts are very much with you and your loved ones in this difficult time. I can't really express how grateful I am to have known Mandy--perpetually fearless, she was able to knock me out of my shell as an awkward teen, and in adulthood I never quite got enough of her company! As one of Rebecca's closest friends Mandy has always been very special to our family. Her physical absence leaves a huge void, but I feel her spirit with me now and always. I look forward to seeing her on the trail.

Mandy, Your loss was sudden as it was crushing. My soul aches for your family. I wish I could be there to help carry the load of this heavy burden, like you would be there for all of us with a warm touch and encouraging smile. Thank you for showing us how to live a full and meaningful life. Thank you for always challenging me to be the best person I could be. Thank you for saying yes to coffee 21 years ago. Mandy thank you for your love, laughter, tears, and grace. Your legacy will live on through me. Always, Mutt

This tragedy has really broken my heart. I knew Mandy as a small child and considered her a sibling when we all lived in Rock Springs. Our parents never told us otherwise! My deepest condolences to Tom, Kim, Marty, Tav and all the rest of her grieving family and friends. There are no words that could ease your pain but you're all in my prayers and may time help you to learn how to live with this horrible loss. I know how much you all adored her. I remember her as the most cheerful, warm person even at a very young age. I'll always cherish those memories. RIP Mandy. Gone too soon but never forgotten.

I will miss her beautiful smile so much. She would always greet me with a hug and then ask me to dance with her in the front of Zumba class. She was such an amazing person. My deepest sympathies to her entire family. She was so very loved by everyone who knew her.

It is with a heavy heart that I send my condolences. Mandy's spirit was a living testament to how we should all treat each other. Whether I saw her at the gym or grocery store she would always stop, share stories, and give me her full attention. After reading sentiments others have shared, it seems that she had a way of validating everyone in that same way. I can't even picture Mandy without seeing her beautiful smile. Mandy was such a huge part of our community. Although I won't be able to come tomorrow night, I will be with you in spirit and keeping you in my thought and prayers.

Oh Mandy! Remember those early morning hours at PCHS when you would look at me, shaking your head, because in the darkness of morning, I had mismatched earrings or socks? Remember how you were sure I was going to burn down the school making you blow out all those candles to get that /s/? Remember how you chided me to get to all of my kids' activities although I was working three jobs and in graduate school? Remember how you took over checking me out at World Market because I couldn't remember my landline number of ten years ago and you could? Remember the moment you groaned about your mother's high expectations and we both realized how lucky you were to have become a mini Marty? Clearly, you were the adult in the room and I'm so grateful for these memories and so many more.

We just saw you and laughed with you at the field house! You were trying everything to get Sam to get in the jumpy house, or to play with you! Your heart was so joyful and fun, and Sam knew that! I asked him what he likes most about "Mandy," and he said, "She loves to play with me!" You made a difference in his life,,, and so many. Thank you for your service and your spirit. You will be missed! We love you!

Rich and Marty - I heard about this tragedy but just learned from a mutual friend that it was your Mandy. I'm so sorry. Know that even though time passes and paths part, you are my friends and the time and experiences we've shared make that lasting. Everytime I drive over Parley's and see CC ski tracks in the snow I like to think they're yours. My heartfelt condolences to you both and I hope to see you sooner this time.

Our condolences go out to Mandy's parents and family following this tragedy. We only met her on Sunday evening at the gym. She warmly greeted us as the two newcomers (to the gym) that we are, and kept a watchful eye over us as we navigated the weight machines. As we were about to leave, and I was glancing around for my fiance on the main level, Mandy saw my expression and offered that she was waiting for me in the lobby. I said "thanks" and was on my way. Her generosity of spirit and genuine caring about having us there that evening were evident to us -- we spoke on the way home about how nice she'd been to us. Her loss will clearly be a great one to those in her life. May she rest in peace.

Mandy was one of my first friends in SLC- introduced to me by Kristen Shaub. I have been remembering our times hiking, drinking, laughing and cooking together. Her smile, generosity of spirit, sense of humor and athleticism are present in my mind, and missed already in my heart. I'm sending out thoughts and prayers for her family and the many people who loved Mandy.
