Compassionate, generous, and intelligent are words that describe my friend, Dave. It was my honor and privilege to have been blessed with his 30+ year friendship that I will forever treasure. My deepest sympathies to his family and Margrit. His song has ended, but his melody lingers on.

I have never met David Littlefield, yet through my sister Diane Sabino, her husband Tad Swaner and their daughter Alexandra Anthony who knew him well I came to appreciate what joy he brought to people. My sympathy to Sam and the rest of his family.

It's been a long time since I read a book from cover to cover, I'm starting this one tonight. This is a long story, and if you ask my wife, it should be no surprise that it's a long story. This book was given to me by a friend, who I ran into one day, while getting a pedicure, yes a pedicure, He was in the chair next to me, he liked his toenails painted green. We've known each other for many years, he said he thought of me and wanted to send me a book, we laughed and exchanged phone numbers and addresses, and sure enough , The book came in the mail, one of the most thoughtful people I know. David Littlefield left us tonight, I'm so sad. Fare thee well, my friend.

If life is short, then make it broad. David has been a esteemed colleague for many years, and a mentor for many young lawyers on the protection of vulnerable children. That was the occupation of his professional time, but hardly the breadth of his vision and interest. I am saddened by his untimely departure.

David was our neighbor on 16th Avenue for 30 years. He had an essence about him that was full of quiet goodness. He was an eloquent speaker but even casual conversations with him were always thought provoking. He had great parties in his back yard full of friends, loud music and laughter that permeated the whole neighborhood and that we all enjoyed vicariously. He had a relaxed way about him that belied his passion for his music, his family, the environment, the law and those of all different persuasions. David not only embraced others he embraced the whole world. We'll miss those hugs, Steve and June Nebeker

I first met Dave in 1990 while working at CompHealth. Even though it has been years since I last saw him, I have found him to be unforgettable. Dave had an easy smile and always managed to bring a little extra light into my day. His love for music was even greater than mine, and he was my go-to guy on music trivia. I'm lucky to have known him. Rock on, Dave!

Dave was a unique soul. I was lucky enough to spend some portion of the past 20 years with him. I always found him gracious, helpful, and passionate about his friends, his family and especially music. Although he was 20 years my senior i know i could always find out from him what the best new music was. He loved the arts and I loved him. Goodbye Dave. I hope you're dancing somewhere...

I am sending my condolences through this method because I'm an old friend of David's but do not know his family that well. However I do know David well and I'm proud to have known him for a good many years. I was close friends with David's old law partner Craig Petersen and Paul Wood all who made the law firm of Littlefield Petersen. David marched to a different drummer and for that we all loved him very much. See you later "Jerry" Randy Feb 24, 2016
