My deepest sympathies. I am very sorry for the loss of Richard. Revelation 21:4 tells us of God: "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.?

I am so sorry for your loss. I am Richard's first cousin once removed, and I understand from my mother Rita he was quite a remarkable person. I am sorry that our paths never crossed while I was an adult. Cherish your memories - it sounds like he lived life to its fullest, so I am sure there are many!
