James William Austin

So sorry for all of us who knew Jim. It was only a few months ago that I was working with him, and I remember I was so pleased to see him on a job again. I remember laughing and joking with him, his quick wit, his kindness, his knowledge of his trade, his great smile. We will all miss you Jim.

To the Family of James William Austin. I am very sorry to hear about the loss of your loved one, James. May the God of comfort heal your heart. The passing of someone you love can be a very hard thing to deal with. I hope you can find comfort in the promise of the resurrection mentioned in the Bible at 1 Corinthians 15:21 & 22. My deepest condolences to James' family and his true love, Heather. They say there are no words to describe your pain, I have too many. Oh, James... we all ask why, but the question will never be answered – cause as Tom Petty said 'You don't know how it feels; you don't know how it feels to be me'. None of us will ever know how it feels to be you, because you, YOU were/are so very far beyond any of us. You had more love and sensitivity then one heart could handle. There is no closure on my end friend – because this isn't the end, it is the beginning. My heart will always be open, just as your heart is always and forever wide open. Can't say how much I am going to miss you, but I thank you, thank you so very much for all the good memories! This is a tough bullet to take. My deepest sympathies go out to his family, especially his mother Susan and best friend Heather. James and I had plans to do some exterior paint work together this year, as most years, and recently he called and seemed excited for our annual work projects. The last project we did I remember him making me laugh so hard that my side hurt for the whole evening. His humor, kindness, graciousness, and deep empathy for people set James apart. All who knew him knew he was abundantly prodigious in "the gift of the gab". But it was more than just words; James put his heart, honor, and integrity behind his talk. Like Horton the elephant, he meant what he said and said what he meant, and he was always searching for a way to find common ground with people. I will miss my work mate and friend! Summers will never be the same. Now go rest in the glory of your God. God speed my brother.

James was the best friend/neighbor anyone could ever hope to have. He was like a brother to me and helped me through many hard times. Losing him has left a hole in my heart and I will always remember all of the great times and laughs we had together. Soar with the eagles dear friend!

We are so sad to hear of James passing yet we are so grateful for the opportunity to be his neighbors and friends. James was a sweet soul and our family will miss him greatly. He was always so kind to our girls and would let them come feed the fish in the pond and pick flowers from his yard. My condolences for your loss.
