In Loving Memory

Dear Dave and family; The funeral was beautiful and everything she would love! We know Rhenda is very proud of her wonderful family! We loved everything you said about your beautiful mother! She is everything you said and such a beautiful example to all women! My life was sweeter because she was my friend and sweet counselor in Relief Society. I treasure the time we served together! We know she will be close by all of you because the veil is very thin for those you love! Thank you for blessing our lives and sharing your mother with us! May God bless and comfort all of you! I am still reeling in shock and grief, trying to take in the fact that my wonderful friend has passed from this life. To Dave, Derek, Garon, Kirsten, Weston and Karina, my love goes out to each of you at this difficult time. I loved the tenderness and sensitivity of the funeral service and hearing all of you speak. I was so grateful to be there and especially to hear Dave's rendering of "Softly and Tenderly, Jesus is Calling", one of my favorite hymns. Your voice does not disappoint Dave.. I wish to send to your sweet family soon, some treasured Rhenda memories I have about her and our so brief time together. She was the first and the best pre-school teacher I ever hired, who volunteered endless hours- selflessly and lovingly helping me build Garfield School into the success it became. I will miss her terribly and yet cherish forever the fond memories we shared...take care all of you and know that she will never really leave you. She is dancing in the clouds right now with her beloved friends and family who have gone before and shouting out, as Derek mentioned, "I am having so much fun, so much fun."

I am so sorry for the loss of Rhenda. I worked with her at Lowell Elementary, where my children also attended. She was a lovely person, a gifted teacher, and a treasured colleague. She will be missed but her legacy will live on in the lives of the children she taught and the lives she touched.

Dear David and family, I was so sorry to read about Rhenda's passing. She was a remarkable woman. I just wish I'd known her better. She had so much fire and spunk. I always admired her. During my time teaching at the U, I always enjoyed visiting with her. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Sincerely, Katie Hill

Rhenda, always with a smile on her face and a funny story to tell. Always more interested in finding out how you were doing rather than talk about herself. She loved animals and especially horses and I am forever grateful that we shared that connection. We spent so many years riding together with Elmer and Diana making many fun memories. She's running through the pastures of heaven now, on Jubilee of course! She will be greatly missed here on earth! My love goes out to you Dave, and all of her dear family whom she treasured above all else. May her feisty, loving spirit bring you comfort.
