Judy Kay Anderson Pedersen

Judy Kay Anderson Pedersen, 65, passed away suddenly in her home in Murray Sunday, August 6, 2017. She was born August 21, 1951, to William Anderson and Larae Anderson (nee Williamson.)

Judy graduated from East High in 1969, after winning Miss Kearns. She went on to a long career in the Smith's corporate office, later having success as a real estate agent. She married Randy Pedersen in 1986, though they would later divorce. She was proud of providing for and raising her two children, Ken and Cassie, and fostering her nieces, Augusta and Dayna, on her own. She was excited to welcome Ken's fiancee, Trisha Price.

Judy's greatest joy was caring for others, especially her children and grandchildren. She took great delight in taking Cassie to her numerous dance practices and competitions. She looked forward to her morning Starbucks, and reveled in going on drives to reminisce.

She is preceded in death by her mother; brother Jeff; and father-in-law Earl Pedersen. She is survived by her children; nieces; and grandchildren; brothers David, Tom, and Denny; her father; and her sister-in-crime Liz Anderson. 

She was our sunshine, and the world is a little less bright without her.

A celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City.
