Geraldine Eliza Hanlon King, passed away on April 30, 2016 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born on November 27, 1918 in Twin Falls, Idaho.
Geraldine was most proud of her large family, who were extremely close and loving.
Our Mother was a devout Catholic who attended daily Mass and loved to say the rosary. She was a woman of faith who knew the power of prayer. When she could not attend Mass, her dear nieces brought daily communion. Our Mother never had a bad word about anyone and defended all. She respected and loved everyone. She lived a life of love, being loved and giving love with her sparking blue eyes.
She is survived by her 7 children the Honorable Garr Michael King, Portland, OR,
Warren Patrick King, SLC, Kathleen McPolin, SLC, Shannon Myrin, Seattle,WA, Timothy King, Portland, OR, Calleen King Letaconnoux, NYC, NY and Terry King, Payson, AZ; 25 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren. Also extended family, children of Gladys and Larry Brennan: James Brennan, Sister Thelma Brennan, Jenifer Gibbons, Mary Clark, Lawrence Brennan, and Tricia Cohrs.
A viewing will be held on Monday, May 2nd from 5 to 7PM at St.Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 1375 East Spring Lane, where a recitation of the Rosary will begin at 6PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 3rd at 1PM also at Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, with a visitation one hour prior. There will also be a memorial service aboard an Alaskan cruise ship, where 128 members of Geraldine's family will celebrate the enormous gift of her life and love.
