William Courtney McCarty

William Courtney McCarty, 86, passed away Feb. 27th, 2016 in Lake Havasu City, Arizona after a bout with pneumonia. He was born Jan. 13, 1930 in Salt Lake City to Ray & Mildred (Engels) McCarty.  He married his beloved wife, Julianne Pollock, in 1954 in Salt Lake City.

He was a great guy who lived his life to the fullest. He lived in Salt Lake City, attended South High School, University of Utah (Sigma Nu) & served in the U.S Air Force. In 1996 moved to Lake Havasu where he enjoyed the view of the lake he had from his home, as well as golfing and his car collection. William will be deeply missed and always loved by his family and friends.

William is survived by his sons Rick (Cherie) & Cullen (Wendy) McCarty; sisters Pat (Dave) Noel & Jackie Gilbert; 4 grandchildren & 3 1/2 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents & wife Julianne.

A celebration of Bill's life will be held on Saturday evening March 19th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City.
