Mary Jane Perry

Jane was born September 20th, 1923 in Ann Arbor, Michigan to Dr. Roscoe L. Barrus and Dorothy E. (Jenks) Barrus. She passed away Thursday, November 12th, 2015 at home in Murray from incidents of old age. Jane married Ray C. Perry Jr. on September 7th, 1946 in the United Church in Ovid, Michigan. The two were classmates at Ovid High School graduating with the class of June 1941. She supported her husband’s education, military and work endeavors throughout their 70 years of marriage. They had lived in the Holladay and Murray areas since arriving from Turkey in 1960.

Jane is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers William D. Barrus and Joe Dan Barrus; plus numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to a celebration of Mary’s life on Tuesday, December 1st from 1:00 until 2:30 PM, when a Memorial Service will begin, at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City. Inurnment will be in the family Mausoleum in Maple Grove Cemetery in Avid, Michigan.
