Akemi passed away peacefully on January 9th from natural causes.
She was born in Columbia, Utah and grew up in Sunnyside, Utah. She moved to Salt Lake City where she met and married her life partner, Ray Seko. They had two children, Stacy and Cary.
Akemi is survived by her daughter and 7 siblings. She was especially thankful to her son-in-law, Kevin Kamaya, for taking her places and doing many things for her.
She enjoyed going to Wendover and having lunch with family and friends.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 15th from 5:30 to 7:30 PM at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City.
