In Loving Memory

I never officially met James, but immediately recognized his picture in the newspaper today. When I read that he liked long walks with his German Shepherd, I was certain it was the nice, quiet man who we saw almost daily walking his dog by our house near Bell Canyon Park. We would say hello, or nod acknowledgement, or apologize for our dog barking at his, and my husband and I worried for him when we saw him walking without his dog a couple of times in recent months. Now how shocking to realize we won't see him in our neighborhood, and I feel very sad that we didn't know him better. It sounds like he was as lovely a man as he seemed from our casual salutations. I am so sorry for your loss.

Dear Cody and Family: We send our deepest sympathy at the shocking news of Jim's unexpected passing. He is, was, and always will be a kind and loving soul. Also, I respect anyone who had the moxie to scrap with Kay (the famous fist fight!). Cody, you and I have always been close and I know that will never change. I will be in touch with you soon. May God bless you all with peace and comfort at this difficult time. Love, Your Cuz (Jim) & my wife, Lorrie

Dear Burton Family, We are so sorry for you loss. Jim began selling us accessories and furniture 20 years ago when we first opened our doors as young kids fresh out of college. We always appreciated his knowledge of the industry and his friendship. While we have never met any of you, we felt like we had because Jim shared many stories about his wonderful family. May you be comforted during this difficult time. Sincerely, Brad and Lynne Davis At Home Furniture

Dear Cody I am so sad for your family. I enjoyed working with Jim; visiting with you and Andrew when Jim invited me to your home. Traveling in Utah was always fun because Jim made it fun. I respected him professionally and personally. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Jan Shaffer

Dear Cody and family, I am so sad to hear of Jim leaving this world so soon. I am sure it was a better place for his being in it. I know Jim enjoyed life. I remember many years ago at the Pine Cone in Sugar House the laughs we had.We decoded the wishing well in the newspaper every day. Please accept my condolences and feel free to contact me if you wish. Michelle
