My Dearest Shelby, It's difficult to put into words how much you mean to me and how much I'll miss you! I'll cherish all of the many, many memories we shared over the last 20+ years. Your laugh was contagious and your smile was glorious! I'll always remember you, I'll always love you, and you'll forever be in my heart. My world will be a little dimmer without you. You could always depend on seeing that big smile and a wave. Shelby loved his dogs and took care of mine while we were away. He was a great neighbor, always helping others whether clearing snow on big snow days or keeping aging hot tubs running. He was a part of the neighborhood and will be greatly missed. This came as a shock to me. Shelby was there for my childhood when he worked with my grandpa (Richard) at Certain. He never once had a bad thing to say and could always put a smile on someone's face. I loved being around him! May his family find strength in his tragic passing, and may he rest in peace. Fly high, Shelb, you'll be deeply missed!

Where to begin... Shelby used to think of me as "Gib's little sister," but as I got older we became good friends. He always made me laugh, and always spoke from the heart. I always thought that I'd see you again. You will always hold a special place in my heart.

A big Oh shucks to this news. Shelby will be fovever cool. My condolences to his family and hundreds of friends that will feel the pain of this great loss. We will forever keep him alive in our hearts and through tales around the fire.

Our family has good memories of Shelby, his brothers and parents, Deidre and Rolly growing up together on Redondo Avenue. We feel sad for the loss and send our love to all of you.

I am stunned and in shock to find out tonight that this incredible friend has left us. He meant the world to me as he did to so many others. I will miss his laughter and playfulness and so very much more. I send my warmest thoughts to his family in this time of sadness.

Wow! What a shock to hear. The memorIes come flooding back. I loved tending Shelby and his brothers. Even though it's been years, I still feel a great love for the Elison's and I know Shelby will be missed. He will always have a special place in my heart.

Although Shelby and I had different social circles after elementary school, I still have great memories with him at Dilworth. I always picture his big smile and "cool" swagger when he walked. I'm so sorry for your families loss.

Shelby was kind, smart, and a friend to all. He will be missed.

It is with a sad heart to announce the untimely passing of our friend and co-worker Shelby Elison. He passed away in his sleep March 30th 2015. We were unaware of any symptoms or issues that might have lead up to his passing and are stunned by this tragic event. He worked for Backyards of America for 5 years. He always came to work with a smile and always had a great repore with all of us and our customers. His work ethics were impecable and he always treated our customers with respect. He was an exemplary employee who always found something to do and always reported on what was going on for the day. He was family to us and will be deeply missed. Peace be with you Shelby on your new journey.

Shelby was an incredible friend. He was always a team player and was willing to put his own comforts aside to help others. He will truly be missed.
