William Clark Lovell III
Born October 28, 1976 in San Mateo, California, Will discovered his love of music at an early age. Growing up in his beloved mountains of Utah, Will continued to pursue his musical talents. It was then that Will found his deep love of jazz music. After studying music at Arizona State University, Will went on to earn his Bachelor's Degree and Master's Degree in Music from the University of Utah.
Throughout his musical career, Will played locally, nationally, and internationally with many talented musicians in a number of bands. Will's love of music permeated his entire life, and he remained committed to practicing, composing, listening, gigging, and living and breathing music every day.
Will brought an incredible level of love and joy to all aspects of his life. A beloved son, brother, friend, cousin, boyfriend, and band mate, Will brightened the day of everyone with his joie de vivre, goofiness, sincere smile, and tenderness. Will brought an unparalleled level of enthusiasm and joy to everything that he did. He especially loved spending time with friends and family, hiking, training in martial arts and working out, going to movies, swimming, bodysurfing, knitting, traveling, and almost all aspects of "nerd culture".
A gathering to honor William will be held on Sunday, November 17, 2013 from 3:00PM - 6:00PM at Starks in Salt Lake City, UT, located at 3651 South 900 East.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be sent to the Park City High School Jazz Band through Park City Education Foundation at PO Box 681422 Park City, UT 84068.
