“The Deal Maker”
Nick was born in Salt Lake City on Jan. 12, 1941 to Nicholas Julian Sr. and Rose Julian.   He died on March 26, 2014 from complications due to multiple myeloma. But what’s more important is how he lived.  He once said, “I lived more in my lifetime than any 10 people could hope for.”
Nick was always quick to laugh.  He possessed imagination, a personality larger than life, and was the consummate deal maker.
Nick loved life, his family, his Italian heritage, friends, warm weather, rock ‘n’ roll, Harleys, traveling the world, a great meal and the best Scotch money could buy.  He also adored fast cars and women (to say he loved women would be an understatement).  He was always looking for the next big deal.  When times were tough, he would say, “Miracles and impossible feats just take a second longer.”
He was president of the Salt Lake Martini Foundation (Martini Bash) for 20 years, and a member of the Rolls Royce Club.  He was also a devoted Catholic.  His annual Christmas cards were legendary.
He cared so deeply for his grandchildren, and was always reminding them how important it was to spend time together and do right by each other.  He taught them how to work hard and play harder.
He was always there for anyone in need. You will be sorely missed.  We love you “Papa Nick.”
He is survived by: daughters Justeene Blankenship and Toni Druce (Milt); grandchildren Nicholas Druce, Stevie Kay Blankenship and Whitney Druce; and great grandchildren Racheé Hatch, Londyn Walker and Lilian Stevens.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, April 5th at 10:30 AM at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 3015 East Creek Rd., Cottonwood Heights.  A celebration of Nick’s life will be held on Saturday, April 5th from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City, where complimentary valet parking will be provided on the north side of the building. Join us for a celebratory toast. We’ll pass the microphone to tell stories and laugh about the fun and crazy times we all enjoyed with him.  All are encouraged to come and lift a glass, drink a bit, tell stories, laugh and celebrate his life.  Please bring a favorite photo of him to put on the wall so we can all share the memories of great times together.
In lieu of flowers, Nick would want you all to be sure to spend time with your families.
