James Randall Burton
July 19, 1952 - March 21, 2014
Taken too soon, James Randall Burton, 61 passed away unexpectedly at his home on March 21, 2014. Jim was born July 19, 1952 in Salt Lake City to Edwin John and Catherine Griffin Burton. He graduated from Highland High School and went on to run a successful business in the furniture industry for over 44 years. Jim enjoyed spending time with his family, gardening and going on long walks with his German Shepherd, Jeebs.
Jim is survived by his first wife Suzanne; their children Tracy James Burton and Stephanie Kay Burton; his second wife and soulmate of 35 years Cody Armitage Burton; and their son Andrew James Burton. He also leaves behind his mother Catherine G. Burton, to whom he was a devoted son; his sister Judith B. Menlove; and Stephanie's children Roya and Grace. Jim was preceded in death by his father Edwin J. Burton and brother Steven J. Burton.
A celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, March 30th, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City, where we request the pleasure of your company.
