Surrounded by her loving family, Geri age 79, died peacefully on February 28, 2014 at her home in Taylorsville after a struggle with brain cancer. Geri was born May 30, 1934 in Plymouth, Utah, the daughter of LuElla Virginia Smith and Ernest W Nish. She was the oldest of 3 children. She learned early in life the importance of family and hard work. Robert and Geri met on a blind date and were married in the Salt Lake LDS Temple April 3, 1953. They raised 4 children in Rose Park. She retired from the USPS as the Manager of Personnel after 20 years of service. She made many lifelong friends there and her work ethic was like no other. After Geri retired they would spend their winters in Quartzsite, AZ and St. George, Utah. She was a great cook. She was talented and spent hours making craft projects for her homes and family.  She enjoyed scrap booking and making cards for special occasions. She enjoyed going to lunch with her friends.  She loved her family and it showed in everything she did. Geri was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, serving faithfully in many callings. Geri was generous, kind, compassionate, genuine and loved people unconditionally.  She was loved by all that knew her.

Geri leaves behind her loving and devoted husband, Robert L. Littlewood; daughter, Teri Mitchell; two sons, Brent (Diana) Littlewood and Kent (Eyvonne) Littlewood; 13 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandson; her sister LaRae (Ronnie) Almond, her brother Terry Nish and a large extended family and many lifelong friends. Geri was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, son-in-law, two grandchildren, and two nephews.  

A viewing will be held Tuesday March 4th between 6-8 pm at the Taylorsville Thirteenth Ward Chapel located at 1495 West Tamarack Road.  Funeral services will be at the same location Wednesday March 5th at 11 am with a viewing one hour prior. Interment will be at Redwood Memorial Estates Cemetery, 6500 South Redwood Road.  The family thanks the staff at Silverado Hospice for their care and support. Geri was a thoughtful and loyal person. Her love for our Dad was endless! Mom and Dad were a great example and provided much happiness, harmony and unconditional love in our home.
