Jean Remy Flandro
She proudly led the Bugle Corp. at Jefferson Elementary and finished her education at South High. On July 30th, 1942 she married Raymond Flandro in San Antonio, Texas. When Ray shipped off for Europe, she returned home and worked at the Remington Arms Plant inspecting the bullets that may very well have ended up in Ray's rifle.
The tailor-quality clothing she sewed for her four daughters included everything from winter coats to swimsuits and doll clothes. Her hand-dipped chocolates were a favorite Christmas treat. Jean was an example of fortitude, responsibility, and sacrifice. She bore many undeserved hardships with grace, love and dignity.
Jean is survived by her daughters Nathlie Cavin and Celia Flandro; sister Ruth Jackson; sons-in-law Rich Cavin and Keith Christison; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Ray; daughter Janice Christison; sister Cleo Nicotera; and brother Mel Remy.
Special thanks to Heidi Lewis and Kathy Fisher.
At Jean's request there will be no funeral.
