Mario V. Delgado
1956 - 2013
My beloved husband, left my side taking his last breath surrounded by his beautiful family on August 3, 2013 after a valiant fight with cancer. He was born February 2, 1956 in Nayarit, Mexico to Gregorio and Dolores Delgado (both deceased.)
He was a humble, remarkable man with many talents; an adventurous spirit who had a zest for life. Our hearts are broken but consoled that he is no longer in pain. We will miss his fantastic food especially his chile verde.
Mario is survived by his devoted wife Pat Gallegos; proud sons Mario Jr., Gregorio (Erica); precious daughter Sara; brother Ismael; sisters Esther, Evelia (Hector), Teresa, Guillerimina (Ruben), and Gregoria. He leaves behind many wonderful relationships he had with his in-laws, aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, and countless friends in the US and Mexico.
A special thanks to his niece/nurse Tina Chacon who helped in so many ways.
A vigil will be offered on Friday, August 9th from 6 to 8 PM at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 1375 E. Spring Lane, Salt Lake City, where recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin 7:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, August 10th at 12:00 noon at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 3580 West 3650 South, West Valley City. Interment to follow at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 4th Ave. "T" Street, Salt Lake City.
