On August 6th, 2009 Joey Tucker, left behind his earthly pains to be comforted by his Grandpa Wolfley.
Joey was born July 10th, 1979 in Murray, Utah to Jana and Perry Tucker. He started playing baseball when he was five years old and grew to become devoted to whatever sport was in season: football, basketball, baseball and wrestling. He was a huge sports enthusiast for the U of U football team and the Denver Broncos.
The loves of his life were his daughter Devree and her mother Brieanne. They enjoyed camping, 4-wheeling and being together in the outdoors. Joey had a big heart. He cared about everybody and was probably too sensitive for his own good. When he fell, he fell hard. We can never forget his laugh and his big brown eyes.
In addition to his parents and daughter; he leaves behind his sister Melinda (Stephen) Castellanos; his niece Lindsey; nephews Zachary and Brayden; Grandma Wolfley; Grandpa and Grandma Tucker; Great-Grandma Mower; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends; along with his Rottweiler Luna.
He is preceded in death by his Grandpa Wolfley who he adored as a child. They were very close and it offers us some comfort to know they are together.
A celebration of his life will be held on Monday, August 10th from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, August 11th at 12:00 noon at Murray City Cemetery, 5490 S. Vine St., Murray.
Donations may be made to his daughter’s trust at any Mountain America Credit Union under the name Devree Matson Tucker.
