Harry Imamura passed away peacefully in his home on December 26, 2016.

He was born June 10, 1927 in Calexico, California to Takizo and Isa Imamura. He moved to Utah in 1944 due to the evacuation. He was drafted into the Army in 1947 and again in 1951 and was honorably discharged in 1953. He served both in World War II (Occupational, Kumamoto, Japan) and in the Korean Conflict.

He married Mary Minaye Shiba on January 4, 1952 and had five sons.

Harry worked in wholesale produce most of his life and owned Salt Lake Produce from 1973 - 2000

He was an excellent bowler and bowled in the Master's League at the Pal-D-Mar Lanes. He enjoyed coaching baseball and watching and supporting his family in their activities, He had many friends and loved golf, especially with the "Wednesday Group". He had great times with his family on outings in Hawaii, Florida, Nevada, and Arizona.

He is survived by his wife; his sons Glenn (Penny), Paul, Wayne (Julia), Jay, Kirk (Lisa); grandsons Nathan (Jessica) Imamura, Eric (Cecilia) Baertsch, Treyton and Mitchell Imamura; two great grandchildren Carter and Marley Imamura; and sister-in-law Kay Imamura.

Preceded in death by his parents; two brothers Dick and Yuji; and sister Toyoko.

Friends are invited to celebrate his life on Saturday, January 7, 2017 from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, where complimentary valet parking will be provided on the south side of the building.

Harry was laid to rest at a private family service at Mt. View Memorial Estates.
