My Life, My Love, My Soulmate

We lost our husband, brother, friend and uncle too soon.  Though we grieve his loss we are comforted knowing that he is at peace and resting.

Born in Ogden, Utah and raised in the Salt Lake City area, he still maintains friendships from elementary through Bingham High and the University of Utah. If you knew Al you had a friend.

Al was a man who enjoyed many pleasures from skiing, hiking and biking the Wasatch Front or simply sitting listening to music or reading a book.

Life for Al was most special when spending it with friends and family but his deepest love is his wife Nubia. If you know this couple you know the unwavering devotion they shared.  Life without Al will be difficult but doable because of the love we store within.

A long time employee of Home Depot, he made many friends with customers and employees.

Preceded in death by his parents Charles and Marcella Chapa.  Survived by his wife Nubia and siblings Larry (Madeleine) Chapa, Tillie Young (Rich), Dick (Joni), Mary Davenport (De), Philip Chapa, Connie Bennett, Peter (Peter Jr) Chapa, Benny Chapa and many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Starks Funeral Parlor at 3651 South 900 East Salt Lake City, Thursday Oct. 27th  from 6:00 - 8:00 PM.
