Joan Corey Ziter, 77, passed on after a courageous illness on October 10, 2016. Joan grew up in Littleton, NH daughter of the late Louis R. Corey and Sadie Ann Corey. She spent much of her adult life in New Hampshire raising a family and operating her own business. For the last 28 years she has called Utah her home coming first to Salt Lake City and a few years later moving to Park City.

Joan was known for her loyal friendship, her unwavering ability to get things done, and her love of life. She especially enjoyed skiing having started in the sport at a very young age. She remained a season ticket holder and would ski many times a week until just a year ago. Hiking, enjoying the arts offered by Park City, and spending time with her family were some of her other favorite pastimes. In recent years, Joan was employed by Saint Mary's Catholic Church in Park City.

Joan was dedicated to her children and grandchildren often traveling back east to be present at small and large milestones. She delighted in their accomplishments and was there to offer encouragement or support whenever needed.

Joan is survived by her four children and their spouses Kelly McDonald Lyman and Edward Lyman of Simsbury, CT, John McDonald of Littleton, NH, Stephen McDonnell and Nicky McDonnell of Alexandria, Virginia, and Dr. Kathy McDonald Ostler and Kevin Ostler of Park City; her grandchildren Conor, Maggie, and Patrick Lyman, Joseph and Dean McDonnell, and Oliva and Sophia Ostler; her sisters Roberta Lyons and Marilyn Stillings of Littleton, NH; and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband Dr. Fred Ziter.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 13th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM with a Rosary, Vigil and Remembrances beginning at 7:00 PM at St. Mary's of the Assumption Catholic Church, 1505 White Pine Canyon Road, Park City. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Friday, October 14th at 11:00 AM also at St. Mary's Church, followed by a luncheon.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Joan's name may be made to St. Jude's Research Hospital.
