Al Biesinger passed away September 14, 2016 at his home in Rose Canyon at the age of 72.

Al was born in Salt Lake City Utah on September 13, 1944 to Herbert W. and Margaret Taylor Biesinger. He grew up in a family of nine children including Taylor Biesinger, Donna McKay, Val Biesinger, Gayle Fawson, Ralph Biesinger, Margaret Killam, and Clyde Biesinger.

Al lived his life strong and independent. His love for his family was first, followed by a love for his country. He had a wonderful sense of humor, and enjoyed having a good laugh with everyone around him. Al was a lifelong student, he especially loved history and could talk for hours about characters from the old west. After his retirement from AT&T, Al took great pleasure serving as a tour guide to local museums in Golden Colorado. He enjoyed telling stories of early settlers, as well as mountaineering. Al found peace in nature and the Rockie Mountains. He loved to work with wood, and created many special items for friends and family. He cared for animals, and fed the birds. At home he found companionship with Chance, his dog, and Harley his cat. He loved to shoot guns and took great pride in his ability to hit the mark.

Al was blessed with three children Hallee Rasmussen, Trent Biesinger and Erika Biesinger. They along with his 9 grandchildren were the light of his life. He was always happiest when surrounding by his family.

In 1985 Al married the love of his life, Charlotte Swartwood, in Delta Colorado. They shared a wonderful life of love and adventure together until Charlie passed away. Her death left an empty spot in Al's heart. He considered her, the greatest treasure of his life.

A celebration of his life will be held on Tuesday, September 20th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, sharing memories will begin at 7:30 PM at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City.
