The daughter of Norwegian immigrants Nicoline (Tollefson) and Erik Bratlien, Annabelle was born in Kennsington, Minnesota, and was the fourth of eleven children. Moving from Kennsington as a young girl, she grew up on a farm north of Lake Itaasca in northern Minnesota. In 1948, she moved to Minneapolis where she met her future husband Theodore (a retired Minneapolis Fire Captain) and they were married July 31, 1948. She spent most of her life caring for her family in South Minneapolis, moving to Salt Lake City with her husband in 2009, to be near her youngest son these last few years. In her younger years she loved to figure skate, was an avid cyclist, a competitive card player (especially if involved Minnesota Whist) and a voracious reader till the very end. She is survived by her loving husband Ted; her two sons Robert (Nancy) and Gary (Rose); her grandchildren Jeffrey, Christopher, Sarah, Rachael and Eric; her great grandchildren Emily, Jackson, Bennet, Kaden, Ryan, Lily, Annabelle, and Henry; and her three younger sisters, Elaine, Arlene, and Helen. She was a kind, loving and compassionate woman who was very easy to love and who will be greatly missed.
