Carolyn Jean White

Carolyn Jean White, 89, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 21, 2016 after a short illness related to age.

Mom was born February 6, 1927 to Florence and Fredrick Atkins of Salt Lake City. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and married Elwood Fisher White on September 6, 1947. They were together 59 years until his passing in 2006.

During the 25 years she worked at Litton as an Electronics Lead Lady, she enjoyed relating stories about her career and friends there, continuing to reminisce long into retirement and even after she was diagnosed with dementia. 

Mom was a wonderful mother, devoted wife, and caring friend. She was a very loving person and her door was always open to those in need. She will be greatly missed.

Carolyn is survived by her four daughters Jenny (Zane) Swartz, Debra Mitchell, Jeri Kledzik, Annette (Rick) Rybak; 21 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.  Carolyn is preceded in death by her husband; daughter Susan Cushing; parents; siblings Bonnie and Fred; granddaughter Rashell and great granddaughter Chelsie. 

In lieu of funeral services, there will be a Celebration of Carolyn's Life held on Saturday, April 16, 2016 from 6-8 p.m. at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East SLC, UT. Please use complimentary valet parking on the north side of the building.
