The songs of David Littlefield's life were among the most beautiful that ever were. Sunday his album became complete. His incredible spirit and uncompromising commitment to life are latent within every lyric and every chord.
Born August 15th, 1948 in Salt Lake City to Elayne Emery Littlefield and David Lamar Littlefield.  He discovered this world with his little sister Maureen Kleone Littlefield at his side. All proceeded him in death.
Compassion, generosity and the inherent belief in justice and fairness guided his career as an immigration lawyer and advocate for abused children, a career beginning in 1972, at the age of 24. His law practice, Littlefield and Peterson,  has thrived for the last 37 years.
He traveled the world with a profound understanding and appreciation for art, literature and music for which he was one of the greatest of audiences.
For the last 5 years, he and his adored companion, Margrit Schneider, shared enthusiasm for what this world had to offer.
He is survived by his four children Aaron, Carrie and her husband Drew Syvertsen, Sam and Alex, and their mother Carol Littlefield; his beloved grandchildren, Quincy, Olivia, Finn and Leif; and many countless amazing friends.
David was a blessing. That blessing has become a prayer for all who knew him; a prayer that his fierce passion for life continues to inspire our own.
A celebration of David’s life will be held Friday, February 26th from 6pm-9pm at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 S. 900 E, SLC. Please use complimentary valet at the north entrance of the building. Inurnment to follow Saturday, February 27th at 12 PM, Salt Lake City Cemetery, 4th Ave "N" Street.
