Jerry Edwin Johnson
March 21, 1928 - January 5, 2016
Jerry was born March 21, 1928 to Edwin Earl and Pauline Morris Johnson. Passed away peacefully at home on January 5, 2016. Jerry was raised in East Mill Creek where he lived until his death. He was a proud Granite High Farmer. Jerry had a long, successful career in the hardware business. He began working at Salt Lake Hardware. He and his business partner, Clifton Stillman opened Bud's Hardware in Cottonwood Heights, where he made may lifelong friends.
Jerry is survived by his wife Maureen; daughter Paula Kimble; sister Marva Whittaker; brother Ron (Doris) Johnson; sister-in-law Elaine; many beloved nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by brother Morris Johnson and son-in-law Donald Kimble.
Friends may greet Jerry's family on Friday, January 8 at 11:00 AM at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City, where a service will begin at 11:30. Jerry will be laid to rest at Elysian Burial Gardens.
