"Birdie"

Jill, "Our Birdie", devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend passed away at home surrounded by her family on January 3, 2016. Born April 7, 1968, to Jack and Ruby Davis. Jill was the youngest of nine children and enjoyed being the "baby" and all the spoiling that came with it.

She married her love, Scott Widmer on October 3, 1992 and together they had three precious, adored children. Jill found her niche in life through creating a warm and loving home, and raising their children. She strived every day to be the best wife and mom, always involved in everything they did, and so proud of their accomplishments. She taught her children how to be strong, independent, loyal, and honest - exactly how she lived her life. She thoroughly enjoyed her girl time with daughter and best friend, Meg. She shared her love of animals - hunting for snakes and reptiles, and fishing with Tom. She found pure joy watching Joey excel in sports, music and school. She was a loyal friend and mentor to many.

Her favorite holiday was Thanksgiving, in which she and Scott would host their entire family each year, with Jill taking time to decorate the table and house with detail, and making sure everyone had a seat, which could be tricky with the amount of people that joined them. She enjoyed family vacations, fishing, and golfing with her mom and sister. She enjoyed designing and helping build the last two homes they lived in - and became good friends with all the "guys" who helped build their home. She was comfortable being both a "tomboy" and a "girly girl".

She will be missed everyday by her husband Scott; children Megan, Thomas, Jonathan; and four-legged companion, Penny. She fought hard to stay and hated the thought of leaving her family and friends. She will live on through the good her children will contribute to the world. Also survived by her mother; eight siblings Dianne (Ingo), Bob, Pat (Ron), Lisa (Mike), Lori (Joe), Bill, Jackie (Glenn), and James; 21 nieces and nephews; mother and father in law; Stan and Paula Widmer; and sister in law Amy (Darin). She was a loyal friend & mentor to many, but special thanks to the loyalty shown by Scarrie and Staci, and James for always being there, texting & calling her each day.  Preceded by her beloved dad; Zia & Zio; Auntie; and cousin Gary.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Jack Davis Memorial Fund - to be given each Christmas to a family in need. Contact a family member if you'd like to donate.
