Virginia Thomas Conrad

Our grandma bear passed away September 15^th in Salt Lake City. She was born on October 13^th, 1933 in Salt Lake City to 

Virginia graduated from West High. She was the Vice President for Tracy Collins Bank until she and her husband started Dick’s Check and Lube.  Virginia loved gardening, Chinese checkers, solitaire, crochet and camping.

Her first-born grandson, Bryce was known as her very special friend.  She taught her grandson, Carson, who came into her life just at the right time how to drive.  She spent Tuesday mornings having breakfast with her grandson, Reese, whom she said always brightened the room with his smile. Virginia was strong-headed, opinionated with no filter and she will be sorely missed.

She is survived by her daughter Ann and favorite son-in-law DeMar; grandsons Bryce, Reese, Carson Butterfield and Evan Conrad; and her cat Dezi. Preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years Dick Conrad and son Tiny.

A wake will be held on Sunday, September 20^th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City. Complimentary valet parking will be provided on the north side of the building. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, September 21^st at 11:00 AM at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 1375 E. Spring Lane, Salt Lake City. Entombment to follow at Salt Lake City Mausoleum, 1001 E. 11^th Ave., Salt Lake City.
