Mary Rita Rich
She was born to Charles Hopkins and Isabel Lynch on March 9, 1915 in Elizabeth, New Jersey.
Mary married her beloved husband Charles Rich in 1941. They moved from New Jersey to Colorado in 1957. Sadly, Charles died three years later. Mary, sustained by her faith, supported her children and her mother while working for the State of Colorado.
Mary loved to garden and read. She always placed others before herself, lived for her family, cared for the poor and was devoted to her prayer life. She was beautiful, wise, independent, full of faith and pure of heart.
She will be missed immeasurably by all.
Mary is survived by her daughters Marita Rich and Arlene (James) Helfand; grandchildren Randy Butler, Andrea (Jeffrey) Garberding, Shannon (Chris) Clayton and Arianne Stonehocker; three great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles; her brothers Norbert, Edward, Daniel, Charles, Joseph; her sister, Isabel; and her granddaughter, Marci Butler.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, August 21st, 2015 at 11:00 AM at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 1505 White Pine Canyon Drive, Park City, where the Recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin at 10:30 AM.
