Dennis Ross Fehr
"Denny"
husband, father, lover of life, hard worker, a Good Guy

On June 6, 2015, Dennis said goodbye to those he loved here to embark on a grand journey where he joined his parents; brother, Gary; and sister, Kristi Fehr Briggs.
He was born May 6, 1938, in Logan, Utah to Earl Edmund Fehr and Helen Iva Greenwood Fehr. He was raised in Provo, stationed in Munich, Germany, lived in Arvada, Colorado and settled in the Salt Lake Valley.

He was a proud American who served in the military, making sergeant after 2 years. He had a wonderful work ethic, was quiet, confident, always smiling and joking to the end. Anyone who knew him knew what a great guy he was and loved him deeply. Dashing Denny came into Diane's life with a dimple in his cheek and a twinkle in his eye, and swept her away. They eloped on New Years Eve and were married New Years Day, 1961. He was a wonderful, kind, and caring husband; and a warm and dedicated father. He loved his children and adored his grandchildren.

Denny opened Insight Laboratory, Inc. in 1977, where he made precision contact lenses and worked with ophthalmologists to craft the perfect lens for each patient. He took great pride in his work and in helping people see. He loved his career and continued to work, or oversee the work, until the day he departed.

He loved to golf, a love that he shared with his father who left much too soon. He was a dedicated member of The Willow Creek Country Club, where he was loved by all and hit his first Hole in One on hole 6. His second was on hole 11 at Old Mill Golf Course.

Those left waiting to join him on his journey are his beautiful wife Diane Pullan Fehr; children Kindra (John Hancock), Devin (Joanne), Dustin (Molly), and Bethany (Darin Sweeten); along with grandchildren Coty, Taylor, Aria, and Azur.

Dad gave lymphoma a hard fight for 9 years. We are filled with gratitude for those at Utah Cancer Specialists who fought with him: Rick Hansen P.A. and Dr. Graydon Harker. For Dr. Nitin B. Chandramouli who gave him a realistic hope; for there is no life without hope. And for that last day, we thank the IMC ICU trauma team, especially nurse Amy.

A Celebration of Life and Viewing will be held Thursday, June 11th, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City. Complimentary valet parking provided on the north side of the building. A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, June 13th, at 12:00 p.m. at his ward house, 1834 East Creek Rd. (7995 South), Sandy, with a viewing beginning at 10:45. Interment to follow at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East 10600 South, Sandy.

Godspeed Daddy, may the golfing be good up there...
