Ron loved the outdoors and spent many weekends camping and hunting with family and friends. Later in life, Ron developed a passion for golf and enjoyed playing rounds with his family and friends.

Ron is survived by his two sons, Robert Broadwater and Brett Broadwater, and his father, Jay Broadwater. He had a special place in his heart for his grandson, Devon Broadwater. He is survived by his sister Jackie Davis Malouf (Mark), who assisted in his care on a daily basis over the last few years of his life. Ron and his family have remained dear friends with his former wife, Sharon Trujillo Broadwater. Ron was like a father to Sharon's two younger sisters, Tonnia Trujillo Steele and Caroline Trujillo. Ron is survived by his two step-sisters, Karri Lou Beckett and Julie Turpin. Ron had many nieces, nephews, and friends who thought the world of him.
