Jean Agnes Holland

Jean passed away on March 24th, 2015 with her family by her side. She was born on October 23rd, 1918 in South Boise, ID to Ray and Frances Peterson.

Jean graduated from East High School and the University of Utah. Married Jack T. Holland on October 10th 1942 in Camp Lee, Virginia. She and her family lived in Holladay, Utah most of her life. She also lived in Peoa for 18 years, and most recently, Sandy.

She loved entertaining and cooking. She enjoyed fishing at Lake Powell and playing Bridge. Jean was the President of Catholic Women's League. She was a great mom.

Survived by her sons Kent Holland, Kevin (Sharon) Holland; grandchildren Kate (Rob) Rico, Yvette (Mike) Smith, Patrick (Sou) Holland, Jaimie (Stoney) Harrington; and great grandchildren Dominic, Isabella, Sophie, Zane, Rocky, Maddie and Oliver. Preceded in death by her husband, sister Carol Colwell, and grandson Matthew.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, March 29th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City, where a Rosary will begin at 7:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, March 30th at 11:00 AM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 11800 S. 300 E., Draper. Graveside committal to follow at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 4th Ave. "T" Street, Salt Lake City.
