K LaVor Hancey

K LaVor Hancey, age 85, of Eagar, Arizona, died in his home surrounded by his family on January 17, 2015.
K was born in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Denzil LaVor and Delta Jorgensen Hancey. K lived an adventurous life and was always looking for new opportunities in new places. He married his sweetheart Dorthey Raddon on November 1, 1957 in the Salt Lake Temple. They enjoyed many adventures together for 40 years. On January 18, 1998 Dorthey lost her battle to cancer and K was devastated. Soon however, he was able to reconnect with Robin Judd, an old friend from New Zealand, and they were married in 2001. K and Robin shared their lives and many adventures together in New Zealand for 12 years.
K is survived by his wife Robin Hancey, Hamilton, New Zealand; son Michael K Hancey, Midway, Utah; daughter Mindy (Steve) Hamblin, Eagar, Arizona; five grandchildren Amanda, Kale, Rex, Riann and Raddon Hamblin; four brothers and five sisters.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Denzil LaVor and Delta Jorgensen Hancey; wife, Dorthey Raddon; and one brother.
A viewing will be held Monday, January 26, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 S. 900 E., Salt Lake City, Utah 84106. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, January 27, 2015 10:00 AM at Memorial Estates Mountain View Cemetery, 3115 Bengal Blvd. Salt Lake City, Utah, 84121.
