Stephen David Shores
1942 - 2014
S-head was born on October 19, 1942. He passed peacefully with family members on December 17, 2014.
Steve went on an LDS Mission to Australia. He was a good teacher for over 30 years, even "out teachering" his wife. He was President of the Teachers' Association and had a Masters Degree in Education. He enjoyed playing cards, especially duplicate bridge, pinochle and chess.
Steve is survived by his wife Phyllis; daughter Kelsey (Jeff) Popplewell; grandson Roland; brother Jim Shores; sister Marjorie Jan (Tim) Dempsey; sister-in-law Nancy Kirkpatrick; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews; and his darling dog Trump. Get a Royal Straight Flush in heaven, Steve!
A celebration of life will be held Friday, December 26, 2014 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City. Complimentary valet parking will be available at the south entrance.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Humane Society of Utah.
