Paula Marie Siciliano
June 5, 1954 - November 12, 2014

Paula Marie Siciliano 60, finally breathing freely, flew into the loving arms of Jesus on Wednesday, November 12th due to complications from pneumonia. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, niece and friend. Her loved ones are feeling a tremendous loss.

Paula was a graduate of Olympus High who would go onto pursue a nursing career at the University of Utah. She began her journey in the Neonatal unit, pouring her love into struggling newborns. Her career followed with nursing positions at St. Joseph's Villa, the VA Hospital, Applegate Home Health, and The Neighborhood House. Her love for the elderly grew as she received her degree in geriatrics. Her achievements earned her a role as a Professor at the U of U College of Nursing and in the last several years, she achieved her Doctorate in Nursing. Her most recent employment was as a Nurse Practitioner at the University Greenwood Clinic. Though she struggled with lung disease, Paula always put her patients first. She will be missed as a caregiver and friend who always listened to her patients.

Throughout her life, Paula held strongly to her Italian heritage, of which she was extremely proud. Many were the lucky diners who enjoyed an authentic Italian meal made by her skillful hands. She developed a love for music at an early age due to the influence of her father who was a collector of great music. She had a beautiful voice which she shared in a variety of ways, but the one closest to her heart was as a worship leader, bringing heaven to earth in her church and as part of the International Christian Ministry, Aglow. Her devotion to Jesus as her Savior was exhibited in many ways, be it as a guest speaker, bible student or teacher. Jesus was the center of her life and her faith never wavered, even as she struggled physically. She ministered the love of Christ to many who sought after her knowledge of Him.

Next to God, the most important people in Paula's life were her daughter, Santina and granddaughter, Sophia. She and Sophia spent many hours together playing games. Her unconditional love of them was an example to many who knew her.

Paula is survived by her daughter Santina (Ernesto); granddaughter Sophia; mother Barbara; sisters Toni (Steve), Anna (Gus), Michelle (Ken), Jody.Preceded in death by her Father (Joe).

There will be an open house celebration of life on Friday, November 21 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like to suggest a donation on behalf of Paula's granddaughter, Sophia Siciliano, at any Chase Bank Branch.
