Brandie Lee Green Caporalli
“I was ready to take on the world, but got distracted by something sparkly.”
Our beautiful, “sparkly” Brandie Lee Green Caporalli crossed over “the rainbow bridge” on November 2nd after a determined battle with Glioblastoma Multiform, a malignant brain tumor. She fought her illness with tremendous dignity and never gave up hope. She had gratitude for everyone and everything in her life. Brandie's spirit will truly be missed as she blessed everyone around her with her quirky sense of humor, loving and generous way of being and unique outlook on life.
Brandie was the first born child (of four children) of Susan and Steve Green. She was born in Salt Lake City on May 11, 1970 and graduated from Skyline High School in 1988.
Brandie was fiercely passionate about many things, but her son, Jaeden tops the list. Jaeden was her “greatest gift and joy”. She was so proud of who he has become and she says she will continue to guide him throughout his life.
She loved animals, especially her cats and believed that she would be like the Pied Piper, with thousands of cats following her in the Great Beyond. She would have rescued all animals in need, if she could have. Music was another great passion of Brandie's. The sound track of her life would include Dead Can Dance (“to understand them is to understand me”), Grimes, Pink Floyd and The Doors. Brandie had a beautiful, silky voice and had a successful career as an on-air personality for Simmons and Bonneville Media Groups. She was also an accomplished and popular voice-over talent representing many businesses along the Wasatch Front.
Nature was her soul food, especially the island of Ilha Grande,state of Rio de Janeiro, in Brazil and the mountains of Utah. She also loved rocks and crystals, reading books, anything Halloween, Yoda, couture fashion (no one could rock a tutu and Doc Martins like our Cinderella) and her orange beach cruiser with the bell, which she would ride around on like the Wicked Witch of the West.
Brandie is survived by her adored family. Her son, Jaeden Caporalli and his father Lee Caporalli, her parents Susan (Dille) Green and Steven J Green, her two brothers, Ryan and Beau (Christina), her sister Brezzie Green, nephew Josh and Katie, and many aunts, uncles and cousins. She loved her Grandma Aileen Poulsen and visited her often to paint her fingernails. Stewart Jensen has been a loyal and loving companion.
The family would like to thank her team of friends who showed up every single day (you know who you are) to lift her spirits and bring her a double tall dry cappuccino and a cheese danish. Brandie loved her friends and often talked about how lucky she was to be surrounded by such genuine love.

Please join us to celebrate Brandie's life on Thursday, November 6, 2014 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City. Complimentary valet parking will be provided at the North entrance. Urn burial will be held Friday, November 7 at 12:00 noon at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South), Sandy, with a luncheon to follow at Three Fountains Club House, 550 East Three Fountains Circle, Salt Lake City.
