Eunice Hawker Young passed away on her birthday in Sandy, Utah on Oct 23rd, 2014 after a valiant battle with cancer. She passed away peacefully with family by her side.

Born Oct 23rd, 1931 in Salt Lake City, Utah, Eunice called various locations home during her life. During the Second World War, she lived in the Salt Lake area and enjoyed fishing with her Daddy for dinner on Millcreek. In her youth, her family moved frequently between Utah, Idaho and California, where she called Yermo Mountain, “her mountain.” In her teenage years she lived in the Burley Idaho area where she met her sweetheart, Frank Elmer Young. They were married Feb 11th, 1950 in Declo, Idaho, and later were sealed in the Los Angeles Temple June 1957. After their marriage, they moved to California, where they spent the majority of their married life.

Eunice was an avid genealogist and gardener who found great joy in both of these lifelong pursuits. Genealogy and family history was her passion. She enjoyed inviting her posterity for Sunday dinners to foster family relationships.
