Ken passed away peacefully August 25, 2014 in his home with his family by his side. He was born August 7, 1930 in Salt Lake City, UT to Ina and John Allein.

Ken graduated from East High and then attended the University of Utah, where he was a member of the Kappa Sigma fraternity. He served in the Air Force reserves, stationed in Kansas. Ken married Jeanne Willmore and the couple moved to Mexico where he pursued his Masters Degree at the University of Guanajuato. Ken was a successful free-lance artist for most of his life and mentored many students as an art teacher at Woods Cross and Viewmont High Schools. Ken was a passionate fly-fisherman and upland game hunter had always enjoyed traveling in that connection, as well as looking for subject matter for his paintings and sculpturing.

He is survived by his wife; son John Michael (Tara); grandchildren John Gavin, Brynn Suzanne, John Berkan; and sister Anita (George) Bill.

The family would like to thank Harmony Homecare, Midas Creek Homecare, Gentiva Hospice, and especially Ken's special aide Ben.
