November 9,1952 - August 5, 2014 

Father, son, brother, and best friend Randy Scott Butters returned home to be with his wife Jeffri on August 5th after a tragic airplane accident.  Randy was an adventurous person, he loved to golf, ski, hunt, camp, take family vacations, but most of all he loved spending time with his favorite people in the world his two wonderful daughters Alexis and Lindsey.  Randy was an inspiration to many and a father to most of us who knew him.  From his warm hugs to his sought after advice he was the life of the party and a guy you always wanted to be around.  He opened his doors to many people and was considered a dad to all of his daughters friends.  He loved his mom Shirley and spent many Thursdays and Sundays at moms house sharing stories, eating dinner, and doing the occasional choir for his dear mother.  Randy had a passion for life and adventure unlike most people.  He was a doer, if he said something you knew he meant it and would also follow through to the very end.  He may have had to think about it a few times but by the end of it all you could trust any advice he would give.  He was professional business man, entrepreneur, and risk taker most of his life. At the end of it all he had a passion for life and loved his girls very much, they were always his number one priority.  

Survived by his daughters Alexis (Johnny) Riche, Lindsey (Zach) White, and Heather Ravarino; grandkids Chaela, Chloe, and Cambria; mother Shirley Butters Olsen; and his many nieces and nephews. Randy is preceded in death by his father J. Kirk Butters, brother Blaine Butters, and sister Janet Ann Benson.  

A wake will be held on Thursday, August 14th from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City, where complimentary valet parking will be provided on the north side of the building. A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 15th at 10:00 AM at Noah’s, 322 West 11000 South, South Jordan.  Graveside service immediately following at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East 10600 South, Sandy.
