Loralee Loftis

Loralee Loftis, 83 of Salt Lake City, UT passed away at her home on Dec 4, 2021. She was born to the late James and Doris Deyoe, June 1, 1938, in Ogden, UT. Loralee graduated from Olympus High School in 1956 and attended the University of Utah, until she met and married her husband of 53 years, Robert R. Loftis Jr.  

Loralee loved the sunshine, whether it be on the golf course, or gardening and caring for her beautiful yard. On vacations, she and her family explored the west coast and Intermountain region playing golf courses from Montana to Southern California, and everywhere in between. In retirement she continued with her gardening and taking care of her mom and dad as well as her grandkids. She enjoyed regularly visiting her grandkids and the beach in Florida. She always provided unconditional love and support to her children and grandchildren.

Loralee is survived by her Son Darin and Daughter Jill. Her Sisters Tammy (Bill) Keller and Jamie Deyoe. Her grandchildren Colin Rivas, Kirstena (Trevor) Sloan, Lauren Rivas, Adrian Amghouz, her great granddaughter Madison Rivas, nephews and nieces Chad Keller, Cory Keller, Kevin Keller, Kim Keller, Kristin (John) Justice, Jade (Lis) Deyoe and numerous great nieces and great nephews she loved dearly. And despite her constant request for more great grandchildren, she got great grand dogs... She learned to love them.  

While Loralee’s family grieves her loss, they are choosing to remember Loralee in a way that honors her spirit. A celebration of life will be on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City. Guests are encourged to use the parking on the north side of the building. A Graveside service will be the following day Thursday, December 16th at 12:00 Noon at the Utah Veterans Cemetery and Memorial Park, 17111 South Camp Williams Road, Bluffdale, Utah.
